FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber has been watching two areas for several days that has the potential for developing into subtropical systems in the Atlantic and Caribbean. The area he is watching in the Atlantic would be subtropical if it does develop. Whereas the area in the Caribbean has the potential to develop into a tropical system. However, neither system would impact Florida.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is monitoring an area of low pressure about 1200 miles east of Bermuda for potential tropical development but says the odds of that happening aren?t very high. Even if it does develop, it will not pose a threat to Florida. He says there are some areas of activity in the tropics, but nothing that is threatening.

He predicts the area, which was just impacted by Hurricane Julia, will see a lot of wind and rain. There is another little disturbance coming off the coast of Africa that has a 20% chance of development over the next five days, but Eliasen says it should not be an issue for Florida.
