Sheriff Grady: Deputy fired seven times after suspect claimed he had a gun

The sheriff of Polk County described what led up to a shooting where an officer believed a car theft suspect was armed after announcing he had a weapon. When the suspect pulled out an object, the deputy fired seven times, wounding the suspect. That object turned out to be a cell phone.
