St. Pete leaders vote against housing emergency

Rent prices continue to rise across the Bay Area, and on Thursday morning, St. Pete City Council discussed the issue. They ultimately decided against rent control measures. Attorneys warned the burden to meet state statute would be too high, had too many loopholes for landlords, and the city would face tens of millions in lawsuits.
