Tampa Bay Tech senior turns tragedy into triumph thanks to family, faith
Not long before her senior year started, 17-year-old Akari Isaac's mom died from Stage 3 cancer. They were close and now she keeps her mom close to her heart. This year, with the help of family, she continued her success as a track-and-field standout in the state of Florida. As she heads to the University of Florida next year, she wants to become a child psychologist to help others -- just like her mom did.
