Vulture population experiencing 'catastrophic decline' in Africa, Asia

Vultures have the important role of cleaning carcasses from the environment, which helps to reduce the transmission of diseases -- but researchers say there is a decline in the vulture population in Africa and Asia which could create a domino effect, and lead to the spread of old and new diseases.
