USF launches STEM program for middle-schoolers
A new program at the University of South Florida is hoping to expose more students to STEM jobs. Programming, IT, and engineering are all hot job industries in the region, but there's a gap in who's filling those jobs. Only a quarter of women work in the STEM field and even fewer Black and Hispanic workers. USF hopes to change that, starting with middle school kids.
