Tropical Update; September 10, 2022
Saturday, September 10 is the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season, but so far things have been fairly quiet. FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says at this point there are no immediate tropical threats to the Sunshine State. Hurricane Earl is still out in the Atlantic as a category 2 storm, but Sadiku says it is having a tough time sustaining itself as it moves north in open waters. There is an area off the coast of Africa that has a 30 % chance of developing over the next five days. He adds that as you look across the Atlantic, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, things are looking good with no activity.
