Tropical Update: October 5, 2022
Tropical Depression 12 is out in the Atlantic, off the coast of Africa, but FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says it is nothing to be concerned about and may not last throughout the night. He says a strong wind shear is blowing the system a part. Weber is also watching an area that is working its way into the Caribbean that is a fairly disorganized system that does not have a defined closed center of circulation. It is in a spot that is similar to Hurricane Ian, but the conditions have really changed in the atmosphere, so Weber does not expect this system to follow in Ian?s path. Instead, Weber believes it will travel toward the west and he will keep an eye on it.
