Robotic dog helps police in dangerous situations

Earlier this week, a child was rescued from potential harm after an overnight standoff on Gandy Boulevard. St. Pete police used a robotic dog as they negotiated with the suspect. 'Spot' was able to get a close look at the suspect to show police that he didn't appear to have a gun.
