Tropics remain quiet due to Saharan dust.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says all is quiet in the tropics due to Saharan dust that continues to suppress waves from turning into a tropical system. Tony is watching an area of a low-pressure system that could develop into a storm. According to a seasonal forecast update from Colorado State University, an above-average tropical season could be on the horizon. The university expects there to be 18 storms this year. Tony says that tropics activity will increase as we enter August in September.
