Tropical Storm Franklin may become a hurricane
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching several areas in the tropics. Tropical Storm Franklin has top winds of 40 miles an hour as it crosses the Dominican Republic. It is expected to gain strength, and possibly become a hurricane as it enters the Atlantic. Weber is also watching the remnants of Emily that has the possibility of reforming in the Atlantic. Another area Weber is looking at is in the Pacific Ocean that is moving over Central America and may eventually enter the Gulf of Mexico and develop as it hits warm water.
