System off Florida?s coast could bring rain, wind
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching a few areas in the tropics with three weeks left in the 2023 hurricane season. He says there is a broad area of low pressure in the southwestern Caribbean that has a 50% chance of development over the next week. According to Weber, it could become either a tropical depression or a sub-tropical system by the end of the week. Weber is also watching an area of low pressure across the Gulf of Mexico that will meander. He also has his eye on another area just off Florida?s coastline that will likely become a non-tropical low. He says it will likely bring wind and rain to Florida as it works its way up the east coast.
