Tropical system may form in Caribbean
FOX 13 Valerie Mills is tracking a new area of interest in the Caribbean that has a 40% chance of forming over the next week. Currently, it is a disorganized system of thunderstorms, but by Thursday Mills says some deep convection will likely develop and create a closed center of circulation. She added that an upper high will shield the Caribbean from a wind shear that would break the system up. A strong cold front that will drop south on Friday may prevent it from strengthening. If it does become a named storm, it will be called Sara.
