Saharan dust plume keeping tropical waves at bay

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is keeping an eye on the tropics as we reach the end of August. He says the tropics are quiet ahead of the Labor Day weekend holiday by he continues to watch Tropical Storm Fernand, which is a lopsided storm that is working its way over cooler waters away from the United States. He added that a large Saharan dust plume is moving west over the Atlantic and keeping tropical waves at bay.
