Earth Watch: Dog Ice Cream
Everyone deserves a treat every now and then. One St. Petersburg woman created an all natural ice cream just for dogs. It's a grain-free, dairy-free recipe with an eco-friendly twist. "Those are two of the most common allergies for dogs, so i thought if i could make a frozen dog treat without those things in it, then it would be a success," says creator Lara Warn. The company launched in August and is wildly popular. For now, the ice cream is made in Warn's kitchen, but she will expand to a commercial kitchen with growth. The ice cream is sold exclusively at St. Petersbark in St. Petersburg. You can also find it online and at pet friendly events in the Tampa Bay area. A part of the proceeds from each purchase is donated to local dog rescues. https://www.thatdogicecream.com/
