Amendments 1 & 2: Homestead and property taxes

Amendment One would give Florida homeowners a property tax break. If your home is valued at $100,000 or more, you'd get an additional $25,000 homestead exemption. Amendment Two affects taxes for non-homeowners, like people who own rental properties, commercial buildings, and undeveloped land. It would make a temporary cap on their property taxes permanent.
