Teachers will not be penalized for protest day
As thousands of teachers, parents and students descended on the Florida Capitol the day before the start of the 2020 legislative session to demand lawmakers steer more money toward public schools, the Senate Education Committee on Monday approved a bill that could be a first step toward increasing pay for public school teachers.
