DeSantis claims unemployment backlog starting to clear

Hundreds of thousands of Floridians are out of work due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. They now depend on -- and are at the mercy of -- the state to help them keep their bills paid. More than a week after the state announced major changes to its unemployment website and call center, difficulties accessing the system persist.
