Polk County has a teacher shortage

The ongoing teacher shortage is worse than ever this year because of people leaving as a result of Covid and specifically in Polk County because the need for teachers is greater because we are opening three new schools. With only days left before school opens, the district is scrambling to fill 130 positions.
