Back in 1981, A Key West man noticed tourism dropped during the summertime. He came up with a idea to bring more folks to the island. He decided to build an entire festival celebrating Key West's most famous resident, author Ernest Hemingway. Forty-five years later, Hemingway Days is still a big event.
