Atlantic disturbance could become Josephine
FOX 13 Meteorologist Valerie Mills is keeping tabs on a new area of interest in the Atlantic basin. It has a 40% chance of development over the next week. As of Monday, it was located off the Carolina coastline. As it moves north, Mills said it could gain some tropical characteristics. Regardless of tropical impact, it will cause dangerous surf from the Carolinas up the east coast. Mills said the brunt of the winds and rain associated with the front will be staying over water. If the system starts to become tropical or subtropical, it could become Josephine.
