FHP looking for driver that blew through stop sign causing deadly crash in Wildwood

The Florida Highway Patrol says an Oxford man is dead after a driver allegedly blew through a stop sign and caused two vehicles to collide at the intersection of County Rd. 475 and State Rd. 44 in Wildwood on Friday evening.

What we know:

The 39-year-old victim was heading west on SR-44 in a Chevy pickup truck when the driver of a Nissan Altima swerved to avoid a collision with the unknown vehicle at the intersection.

A 16-year-old passenger in the Chevy and the driver of the Nissan were seriously injured.

What's next:

Investigators are asking the public for information regarding the unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
