Florida power outages: Hurricane Milton knocks out power to millions

Hurricane Milton continues to impact the Bay Area, knocking out power in many places. The Category 3 storm made landfall near Siesta Key Wednesday evening. 

As of 1:35 p.m. on Friday, the following number of customers were without power:

Duke Energy power outages

  • Citrus County - 8,060
  • Hernando County - 8,954
  • Highlands County - 36,857
  • Hillsborough - 14
  • Pasco County - 69,088
  • Pinellas County - 387,270
  • Polk County - 55,349
  • Sumter County - 5,701
