LAKELAND, Fla. - Polk County Fire Rescue crews responded Thursday afternoon to a brush fire in Lakeland that spread, burning through a home and a pair of sheds.
What we know:
PCFR says shortly after 2 p.m., firefighters arrived to find the blaze engulfing a home and two sheds at a residence. A neighboring structure and semi-trailer were partially affected by the flames.

Crews battled the fire and helped evacuate the homeowner, who suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene, officials said.
The flames were fully extinguished shortly before 5 p.m., according to PCFR.
PCFR says the home and two sheds were destroyed. No additional injuries were reported.
What we don't know:
The Florida Department of Agriculture is investigating the cause of the fire.
