A massive explosion rocked the city of Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday. Officials say a car crashed into a building’s gas line. Video shows moments after a car lost control during a turn and crashed into Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center, about 7 miles east of the city’s scenic Riverwalk.
WILMINGTON, N.C. - An explosion at a veterinary center in North Carolina has left three firefighters hurt.

The Wilmington Fire Department said on Tuesday a car went off the road and hit the Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center.
A gas line ruptured and then burst into flames.
The injured firefighters were battling the fire. It's reported that one of them had severe burns to the hands.
Authorities said the driver who hit the building fled the scene but was later captured and taken into custody.
