All eyes are on Tropical Storm Ian that could impact the state of Florida next week. FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says Ian is battling a lot of wind shear and appears to be lopsided, which makes it tough to identify a center of circulation. However, Sadkiu says Ian is going to rapidly intensify as it passes just south of Jamaica and could become a hurricane by Sunday. Florida is within Tropical Storm Ian?s cone of uncertainty, and though it is too early to talk specifics, Sadiku says it is important to get prepared now.

As of the 5 p.m. advisory, Tropical Depression 9 was located over 400 miles east southeast of Jamaica. The system is still battling a bit of northeasterly wind shear, but it'll be moving into an environment much more conducive for organization this weekend.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tyler Eliasen is watching Hurricane Fiona as it makes its way across Puerto Rico. Fiona knocked out power as it briefly made landfall on the island. Elisan says Puerto Rico got hit by the messy side of the system and he expects heavy rain to continue for a couple more days. Eliasen said it?s possible Puerto Rico could see more than two feet of rain when it?s all said and done. Eliasen expects Fiona to strengthen as it moves away from Puerto Rico. He says the storm with move north and east and steer clear of the United States.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is watching Fiona, which became a hurricane Sunday morning. There is a lot of rain on the north and east sides of the storm which battered the Virgin Islands and is pushing on the southern end of Puerto Rico. Hurricane warnings are up for Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Once the storm, which is expected to be a heavy rainmaker, passes over the islands, a trough will push the storm east of the United States as it gains strength in the Atlantic.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tyler Eliasen is watching Tropical Storm Fiona as it makes its way toward Puerto Rico. Eliasen predicts the storm will gain hurricane status just east or north of the island. He expects Fiona to drop a lot of rain over the next 24-36 hours. Eliasen says the storm should stay east of the Bahamas and well east of the United States.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is monitoring Tropical Storm Fiona as it approaches the Virgin Islands. The storm, which has winds reaching 60 miles per hour is then expected to make its way to Puerto Rico, where hurricane watches have been posted. Sadiku says Fiona is on track to strengthen and could become a category 1 hurricane by the end of the weekend or early next week. Fiona is expected to turn to the north and west and should not be a concern for Florida.
