These American service members have died in Iran conflict

Since the U.S. and Israel launched coordinated attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, at least 13 American service members have been killed.
Major casualty incidents include a March 1 drone strike at a command center in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, which killed 6 service members, and six others died in a refueling plane crash on March 12 in Iraq.
The casualties range in age from their 20s and up, and came from states all over the country. Several were from Kentucky, Ohio and Iowa.

Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington died of his wounds on March 8 after he was injured during "an enemy attack" on March 1 at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, the department said.
He was assigned to 1st Space Battalion, 1st Space Brigade, Fort Carson, Colo.
The department said the incident is under investigation.

The Pentagon said Marzan was at the scene when a drone strike hit the command center in Kuwait and is "believed to be the individual who perished at the scene," according to the statement. A medical examiner will confirm identification, the Pentagon said.
