Vehicle involved in hit-and-run on Dale Mabry Hwy. found, Tampa police still searching for driver

The Tampa Police Department says officers have found the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a man riding an electric bike on Dale Mabry Hwy. early Wednesday, but the driver remains on the run.

What we know:

TPD says a silver Chevrolet Equinox hit the victim on the northbound side of S. Dale Mabry Hwy. near W. Mango Ave. around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to the hospital, where he's listed as stable, according to police.

Investigators say they found the abandoned Equinox in the 2200 block of E. 12th Ave., and it has been impounded.
