One-handed Florida player scores first collegiate points

A member of the Florida Gators basketball team is drawing attention after his performance during a game against Jacksonville.

Zach Hodskins scored his first collegiate points during the Gators' 89-65 win Tuesday night. It may not seem like a noteworthy highlight, but Hodskins' score came in spite of being born without the lower part of his left arm.

Hodskins made a tough layup despite being fouled, much to the delight of the home fans.

According to Fox Sports, former Florida coach Billy Donovan brought Hodskins on in 2013 as a walk-on - meaning he was not on scholarship, but was guaranteed a place on the roster.
