FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is watching several areas in the tropics that have a chance of development and one will impact Florida. He says there is a 70 percent chance that an area of low pressure in the Southwest Atlantic will develop into a subtropical or tropical depression over the next two days and a 90 percent chance of developing over the next five days. He says the Bay Area will experience several inches of rainfall along with possible tropical-storm-force winds by Thursday, but it depends on the storm?s track which should be better known early in the week.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Tony Sadiku is keeping an eye on Lisa, which is now a tropical depression in the Bay of Campeche as well as two areas in the Atlantic that have the potential for development. One area that has a 30 percent chance of developing over the next five days will not impact the United States, but an area south of Florida has a 60 percent chance of development over the next five days and would impact the state. He says the storm?s impact would be higher on Florida?s east coast and could cause coastal flooding. Sadiku adds that the weather for the Bay Area is expected to be a little unsettled beginning on Tuesday and extending into the later part of next week. If it is a named storm it will be Nicole.

The area he is watching in the Atlantic would be subtropical if it does develop. Whereas the area in the Caribbean has the potential to develop into a tropical system. However, neither system would impact Florida.
