13 tons of 'junk' removed from Altamonte Springs yard

Paint, propane tanks, and even an old satellite dish were among items piled up in the yard of an Altamonte Springs home.  For decades, Allen Davis, or the "junk man" as he is known in this community, has refused to clean up what others consider to be trash and junk strewn all over his property on Alpine Drive.

A special magistrate recently declared his property a life, health, and safety concern and the county made the decision to move in and clean it up, citing it was a last resort.  A big bobcat removed 13 tons of items from the property on Thursday.  The Seminole County Sheriff's Office picked up the tab, but they say they're going to try to get reimbursed and criminal charges may also be filed against Davis.
