1Voice Foundation hosts holiday event for children cancer patients and their families

The 1Voice Foundation, a local non-profit, hosted its annual "Holiday Ho Ho Ho Down" event on Sunday for children cancer patients and their families in the Tampa Bay area.

Over 200 people gathered at the Quantum Leap Farm in Odessa for horse back rides, hay rides, food and a special surprise from Santa!

Volunteers for the event, who deemed themselves "Santa's elves," helped the cancer patients and their siblings escape health struggles by riding horses that specialize in helping children with physical and speech therapy.

The 1Voice Foundation said that the event offers emotional support from a community that understands the most important part of holidays: time with family.

All the kids were also gifted toys and goodies from Santa.
