Beautiful iridescent cloud captured on video
HERRIMAN, Utah (STORYFUL) - A beautiful iridescent cloud was captured on video by a Utah woman.
Wendy Fuller captured it when she pulled into her driveway after work March 19 in Herriman.
Fuller said she saw it thicken in the skies and when she finished recording it, it disappeared.
Iridescent clouds are a phenomenon caused by small water droplets or small ice crystals individually scattering light across the sky.
"It's fairly rare," said FOX 13 meteorologist Paul Dellegatto. Larger ice crystals cause halos around the sun and the moon, a different phenomenon, he said.
