Shortly after 1 p.m., authorities said they pulled over a possible suspect near the Bradenton Area Convention Center in Palmetto.
What they're saying:
"Witnesses were able to provide a vehicle description, and we were quickly able to track that vehicle," BPD Public Information Officer Meredith Censullo said. "Because of all of our resources we determined the vehicle was actually leaving Bradenton, it was heading toward Palmetto, across the DeSoto Bridge. And so we were able to get that car stopped at 1:12 p.m. and take the driver into custody for questioning. So we do have that person at PD headquarters to find out what their involvement may be."

The names of the victims have not been released.
No details have been made public about the potential suspect who was detained.
