Largo High School student accused of threatening to shoot up the school
LARGO, Fla. - A Largo High School student has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot up the school, according to Largo police.
An investigation began, authorities said, after they found a social media post by the 14-year-old suspect.
The student was arrested in Maryland on Sunday and has been charged with threatening communications or threats of mass shooting.

What they're saying:
LPD released a statement after the arrest regarding school safety.
"The Largo Police Department is committed to keeping our schools safe and takes all school threats seriously. Threatening comments or posts will always be thoroughly investigated and result in serious consequences," LPD said.
