Suspect arrested in Thonotosassa gas station shooting: HCSO
THONOTOSASSA, Fla. - A shooting suspect was arrested after a deadly shooting at a Thonotosassa gas station that took place Wednesday evening, investigators said.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Dean Henderson, 38, a two-time convicted felon, is accused of pulling the trigger.

What we know:
The shooting happened just after 8:30 p.m. at a Circle K gas station located at 11755 County Road in Thonotosassa. Once at the scene, deputies said the victim, who was identified as 37-year-old Paul Strickland, was found with a gunshot wound, and pronounced dead.

HCSO officials said Henderson was identified as the suspect during their investigation. He was taken into custody the next day on multiple charges, including:
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
- Tampering with physical evidence
What we don't know:
The sheriff's office has not released details about whether Henderson knew the victim prior to the shooting or what led them to the suspect. Authorities said this remains an active investigation.
