A police officer and firefighter jumped into a lake to rescue a little boy who was stuck in an air pocket under a dock last week.

Lake Placid PD released video from officer David Rhoden's body camera. It shows him running toward the water and jumping in, where others had gathered to try and help the boy.

Before going underwater, officer Rhoden puts the camera on the dock, but he and others can be heard yelling during the rescue.

"Help us out on this side!" the officer could be heard yelling. About 30-seconds later, the officer yells "He's out! He's out!"

Lake Placid firefighter Rafael Ramos was in the water, too, helping lift the dock so the boy could escape. Thankfully, the little guy was able to walk away from the incident on his own and he's reported to be doing OK.

Afterward, the video shows officer Rhoden talking with Ramos and other first responders about what happened. Rhoden told the other men he was lucky to have another uniform handy.
