Tropical Storm Elsa forecast: Thursday, July 8

Meteorologist Jim Weber says Tropical Storm Elsa actually regained some strength Thursday as it passed over the Carolinas and approached the East Coast. The storm is expected to continue speeding off to the northeast over the next day.

Sunday evening Tropical Update

Meteorologist Tyler Eliasen is tracking Tropical Storm Elsa, which is expected to impact the Bay Area Tuesday evening. Eliasen says the storm is looking ragged after interacting with land, but adds the shape it is in after passing over Cuba will determine the severity of impact it will have on the Bay Area.

Tropical Storm Elsa Sunday morning update

Meteorologist Tony Sadiku says Elsa remains a modest tropical storm this morning as it approaches Jamaica and Cuba. The latest forecast shows limited weakening and maybe some strengthening over the next 24 hours, despite land interaction. Tampa Bay area impacts will come likely as early as Tuesday.
