Lutz academy offers horse rescue program for veterans

LUTZ, Fla. (FOX 13) - Avalon Riding Academy & Stables is a beautiful piece of property hiding right in plain sight.

While they offer all sorts of riding classes and training for varied skill levels, they also have a horse rescue program, and it involves helping veterans.

Avalon is hoping to inspire other barns to commit to giving a free intro lesson to a veteran’s family and/or commit to giving a veteran some training. For example, how to feed, lead horses in and out, farm chores, so that they may be a job candidate in the equine industry.
