Arrest made in deadly hit-and-run

TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Tampa Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Ruell Calvin Thompson for an early morning hit-and-run that left a woman dead. 

Police say 45-year-old Therese Nicole Ingram was struck in the northbound lane of Nebraska Ave. Thompson left the scene initially but called 911 about 20 minutes later. 

Thompson and the police worked out an arrangement for Thompson to turn himself in. 

The preliminary investigation indicates Thompson's car was traveling over the speed limit which contributed to the accident.
