Arrest made in early morning stabbing

A 26-year-old woman is under arrest and facing second-degree murder charges following a stabbing death early Sunday morning.

Detectives with the Tampa Police Department arrested Waitecia Howard after they say she stabbed her roommate, 24-year-old Jayvion Parker.

The incident happened just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning when officers say a fight broke out between Parker and Howard’s sister. Howard jumped into the fight and stabbed Parker in the upper body.

Parker was transported to the hospital, though he later died from his injuries.
