Boats light up for Treasure Island's favorite parade
TREASURE ISLAND (FOX 13) - It's been a holiday tradition on the beach for more than 30 years.
The biggest lighted boat parade in the Bay Area hit the water Friday with more than 60 vessels showing off their holiday spirit.
The dazzling spectacle of the Treasure Island Lighted Boat Parade draws hundreds of onlookers from all over the area.
Treasure Island's Lighted Boat Parade features decorated boats of all kinds. They circle the city in a friendly competition for top prizes awarded after the parade at The Club at Treasure Island.
Residents with Treasure Island waterfront homes hosted boat parade parties but there were plenty of prime viewing spots on the island.
Parade goers say the event gets bigger and better every year.
