Fifty Bay Area kids roamed the aisles of a local WalMart surrounded by some special chaperones: Members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"It's a great thing that I try to do every year," Bucs wide receiver DeSean Jackson said.

He's talking about his event, "Shop With A Jock". Each kid, from local Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, had $100 to spend on Christmas gifts. Kids were seen buying football and basketballs, dolls and video games.

Bucs players spent more than hour with small groups of kids. Jackson said he's hoping to provide a boost to families already working hard to provide for their children.

"I think it's important, not only throughout the holidays, but throughout the year for people in our situation, people who are fortunate to do what we do and get paid to do it, to give back people who come from the same environments that we came from," Bucs safety T.J. Ward said.

Jackson and Ward were joined by quarterback Jameis Winston, wide receiver Mike Evans and several other Bucs players.

"I love coming out and putting a smile on these kids' face," Jackson said.

Ward echoed his teammate's thoughts, saying watching the kids faces light up is the definite highlight of the evening.

The kids were also treated to dinner by Chick-fil-A Tampa Stadium and received free T-shirts
