Fans still optimistic for Bucs
Tampa (FOX 13) - Many Bucs fans say they'll give the team a chance to redeem itself this season, despite the home opener loss against the Tennessee Titans Sunday.
Team officials said the game was a near sell-out, the first in several years.
Fans were excited to welcome the football season back to Tampa Bay and many remain optimistic the Bucs will do well this season.
"A lot of good things to come, this team is definitely in the rebuilding situation. I'm expecting a lot from Winston," said Kevin Creech.
"Last year we didn't have good games. We lost games that we should have won, and I think that this year we have a lot more of a team effort going in defense and offense. Our defense is going to be really good," said Creech.
Bucs Fans have high hopes for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston, who they believe can lead the team to success.
Some are even dreaming of the playoffs already.
"I'm expecting us to go all the way this season. We've put in the time and I think we're going to do it this year. I'm ready to see us in the playoffs," said Maya Ingram.
The Bucs play again next Sunday away against the Saints. That game will be televised on FOX13.
