Fire moves from car to Brooksville home, HCFR investigating

    • Hernando County Fire Rescue is investigating a car fire that spread to a home in Brooksville on Friday evening.
    • Crews were able to prevent the fire from getting inside the home.
    • No injuries were reported.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Hernando County Fire Rescue is investigating a car fire that spread to a home in Brooksville on Friday evening.

What we know:

HCFR responded to the 800 block of Saint Francis St. in Brooksville to find two cars on fire underneath a car port structure.

Crews were able to prevent the fire from getting inside the home.

Investigators say everyone inside was displaced from the home due to damage to the power meter that supplies electricity to the home.

No injuries were reported.
