The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for several raw beef and pork products after inspectors discovered they contained sesame that was not listed on the label. Sesame is a federally recognized allergen.

What we know:

The products in question are no longer being sold, so a recall was not requested, but consumers may still have the products in their homes.

According to the USDA alert, the issue was identified during a routine label review. FSIS personnel discovered the use of sesame oil in the products, but sesame was not declared as an ingredient on the label.

Dig deeper:

According to the FSIS, the products were produced between December 1, 2025 and April 6, 2026, and were sold in 1.5-pound clear plastic containers with safety lids under the "Quality Meat Sky Ranch Premium Provisions" brand.

The alert covers four marinated items with sell-by dates ranging from December 11, 2025 to April 16, 2026. The alert covers:

Why you should care:

FSIS is concerned some people may still have these products in their refrigerators or freezers. They are asking for anyone who has purchased them not to consume them and to return or throw them away.
