Life-size gingerbread at Disney resort looks good enough to eat

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is unveiling its famous life-sized gingerbread creation, a tradition in its 19th year.

Pastry chefs spent more than 400 hours baking the gingerbread and it took more than 160 hours to put the more than 10,000 pieces of gingerbread together and decorate the whole house.

Disney released a time lapse video of the team of pastry chefs creating the house from beginning to end.

The house contains The Bake Shop, where there are ornaments, cookies, and gingerbread house kits.

The gingerbread house can be seen in the main lobby until January 1.

There will also be gingerbread house decorating demos in the lobby of the hotel in front of the display starting Nov. 1.

Only hotel guests can park at the hotel, but others may access the hotel from bus transportation available from the parks and Disney Springs. Guests can also visit via the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail.
