Mole Patrol: Free skin cancer screenings on Clearwater Beach
CLEARWATER BEACH (FOX 13) - One in five Americans will develop skin cancer. Just this year alone, doctors will diagnose more than 5 million people with the disease.
Early detection is key. The FOX 13 Care Force is teaming up with the Moffitt Cancer Center's Mole Patrol for free skin cancer screenings on Clearwater Beach.
Stop by Pier 60 on Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to get screened.
For the first time this year, Moffitt will also provide head, neck, and oral cancer screenings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Moffitt will also be handing out free samples of sunscreen, lip balm, and educational materials.
