New Florida results in Presidential poll

Newly released numbers from Public Policy Polling spell good news for Donald Trump and bad news for Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.

The PPP survey shows Trump leading in Florida with 28-percent, followed by Ben Carson at 17-percent. Jeb Bush is third with 13-percent, followed by Rubio with 10-percent.

The PPP poll also shows Bush has lower favorability rating than Trump in Florida. And nearly half of the respondents say Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio should drop out of the race (again, that's coming from respondents in their own home state). 47-percent said Bush should drop out of the race. 48-percent said Rubio should quit. Rubio and Bush plan to stay in the race and absorb support from other candidates who drop out. But PPP found Bush trailing Trump in Florida by 17-points in a head-to-head matchup (38%-55%). Rubio performs better in a Florida head-to-head matchup. He edges Trump by three points (49%-46%).

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton maintains a substantial lead in the democratic race in Florida. She registers 55-percent to 18-percent for Bernie Sanders and 17-percent for Joe Biden (who has not decided if he'll run).
