Pasco County officials are holding a community meeting on Saturday to discuss the future plans for the site of a massive sinkhole that opened up in July.

The sinkhole on Ocean Pines Drive in Land O' Lakes swallowed two homes when it opened and prompted several others nearby to be condemned. Since then, crews have worked to stabilize and clear out the hole while county leaders consider what to do with the area, which is in the Lake Padgett Estates community.

Residents will learn about options for the sinkhole site and have the opportunity to give feedback to county staff at a meeting Saturday afternoon at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center. The meeting is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
